Pool Remodeling & Pool Renovation in Katy, TX
Transform Your Existing Pool Into a Backyard You'll Love Again
Your pool may still function.
But does it still reflect the way you want to live?
For many homeowners, the backyard was designed years ago around a different stage of life. Styles change. Families grow. Outdoor living priorities evolve. What once felt exciting can begin to feel outdated, underutilized, or disconnected from the rest of the home.
At Sunset Pools, we help homeowners throughout Katy, Fulshear, Cypress, Richmond, Sugar Land, and Greater Houston reimagine what’s possible. Through custom pool remodeling, pool renovation, and complete outdoor living transformations, we create spaces designed for the way you live today while adding beauty, functionality, and long-term value to your home.

Why Homeowners Remodel Their Pools
Every remodeling project begins with a different goal.
Some homeowners want to modernize an outdated design. Others want to improve functionality, upgrade equipment, or create a backyard that better reflects how they use the space today.
Common reasons homeowners invest in pool remodeling include:
More Than a Pool Renovation
Complete Backyard Transformations
One of the biggest opportunities during a pool remodel is looking beyond the pool itself.
A renovation can become the foundation for an entirely new outdoor living experience.
- Outdoor kitchens.
- Covered patios.
- Fire features.
- Landscape lighting.
- Entertainment spaces.
- Thoughtful landscaping.
When these elements are designed together, the backyard feels more cohesive, more functional, and significantly more enjoyable than simply updating the pool alone.
The goal isn’t just to renovate a pool.
It’s to transform the way you experience your home.
Experience Your Backyard Before Construction Begins
One of the things that sets Sunset Pools apart is our Design Studio. Before construction begins, homeowners can explore design concepts, compare options, and visualize how the finished space will look and function. This collaborative planning process helps create confidence, clarity, and better decision-making throughout the renovation. Rather than guessing what the finished backyard might become, you'll have the opportunity to see the vision take shape before construction ever starts.
Pool Remodeling Designed for Texas Homes
The most successful remodeling projects don’t simply focus on appearances.
They focus on how the backyard will function for years to come.
When planning a renovation, considerations often include:
- Entertaining Space
- Shade Opportunities
- Outdoor Living Integration
- Family Functionality
- Energy Efficiency
- Modern Features
- Long-Term Maintenance
By approaching remodeling through the lens of lifestyle rather than simply updating finishes, homeowners often create spaces that feel entirely new.
