Average pool and spa-only projects take roughly 12 weeks. As the scope of work increases, so does the build timeline. Timelines account for some delays due to weather, material, etc.
Sunset Pools will assign a construction manager to oversee the crews on site and update BuilderTrend (our online system), so our entire team can track your projects progress and schedule. The construction manager will be your main point of contact for any construction-related questions.
Once a contract is signed, we will begin the approvals and pre-construction process. This includes submitting for permits to city building departments (if applicable), preparing HOA documents, construction plans, and laying out the pool area. We have two meetings during this time: A selections meeting to finalize materials and a pre-construction meeting to go over protocols, set expectations, meet your construction manager, and answer any remaining questions you may have.

Sunset Pools uses Pentair for standard equipment configuration which includes variable speed pumps, filters, LED color lights, app-controlled automation systems, and pool cleaners. There are some upgrade options that we offer as well.
Some upgraded cleaning and sanitation systems that Sunset Pools offers are Paramount in-floor cleaners and UV + Ozone sanitizers, and automated chemical dispensers by Pentair.
Sunset Pools highly recommends chlorine over salt pools. Salt systems are highly corrosive to the materials used on a pool, especially on natural stone like travertine and flagstone, and over time this accelerates deterioration.
An infinity edge pool is where one or multiple edges of the pool seem to disappear into the horizon. The “infinity” edge has no coping and allows water to flow into a catch basin that is ideally unseen from eye level. This type of pool is only an option if you have elevation change to your yard, preferably at least a 24” drop.
