Adam Traugott is the Founder and President of Sunset Pools and a second-generation pool builder with more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the swimming pool construction industry. Adam holds the Certified Builder Professional (CBP) credential through the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), powered by GENESIS. He co-founded Sunset Pools in 2001 alongside his wife, Sonia, with a vision to bring craftsmanship, creativity, technical expertise, and integrity to custom pool and outdoor living design.
Since 2001, Adam has helped lead Sunset Pools into one of the most trusted custom pool builders serving Katy, Fulshear, Cypress, and the Greater Houston area. His extensive construction knowledge, passion for innovative design, and commitment to quality have contributed to numerous regional and national awards. Sunset Pools’ work has been featured inLuxury Pools + Outdoor LivingandPaperCity Magazineand recognized by organizations including the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance and PebbleTec for excellence in pool design and construction.
In addition to leading Sunset Pools’ residential design-build team, Adam oversees the company’s commercial pool division. His commercial experience includes HOA pools for communities such as Firethorne and Falcon Ranch, Big Blue Swim School in Jordan Ranch, SafeSplash Swim School in Cypress, and apartment community pools throughout the Greater Houston area. Adam continues to grow the commercial division with the same attention to detail, technical planning, and construction standards that define Sunset Pools’ residential projects.
Whether building a new custom gunite pool, renovating an existing pool, developing a commercial project, or creating a complete outdoor living environment, Adam approaches each project with precision, creativity, extensive construction knowledge, and a problem-solving mindset.
