A third-generation pool professional and Texas A&M University graduate with a degree in Construction Science, Adam Traugott Jr. brings a unique combination of hands-on construction experience, technical education, and design expertise to Sunset Pools. He also holds the Certified Builder Professional (CBP) credential through the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), powered by GENESIS.
As the son of Sunset Pools co-founders Adam and Sonia Traugott, Adam Jr. grew up immersed in the swimming pool and outdoor living industry. He officially joined the Sunset Pools team in 2013 at the age of 15 years old, beginning as a field hand and learning the construction process from the ground up.
Over the years, Adam worked his way through the company and gained valuable hands-on experience before becoming a Project Manager, where he developed a deeper understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination, materials, and the details required to successfully bring a custom pool project from design through completion. He later transitioned into sales and design, bringing that construction knowledge directly into the client experience.
Today, Adam works with homeowners to design custom gunite pools and complete outdoor living environments throughout Katy, Fulshear, Cypress, and the Greater Houston area. His construction background allows him to approach design with both creativity and practicality, helping clients make informed decisions while considering how their ideas will ultimately be built.
As a third-generation pool professional, Adam is continuing a family legacy in the Houston-area swimming pool industry while bringing his own education, experience, and perspective to the next generation of Sunset Pools. His combination of field experience, project management knowledge, Construction Science education, and CBP credential makes him a knowledgeable resource for clients from the earliest stages of design and planning.
Outside of Sunset Pools, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife, cheering on Texas A&M football, and staying current with new ideas, materials, and trends shaping pool design and outdoor living.
