Adam Traugott is the Founder and President of Sunset Pools and a second-generation builder with more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the swimming pool construction industry. A Certified Pool Builder through the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), Adam co-founded Sunset Pools in 2001 alongside his wife, Sonia, with a vision to bring craftsmanship, creativity, and integrity to luxury outdoor living.
Since then, Adam has led Sunset Pools to become one of the most trusted custom pool builders in Katy, Cypress, and the Greater Houston area. His passion for innovative design, commitment to quality, and deep understanding of construction principles have earned the company numerous regional and national awards. His work has been featured in Luxury Pools + Outdoor Living and PaperCity Magazine, and recognized by both the PHTA and PebbleTec for excellence in design and execution.
In addition to leading the residential design-build team, Adam also oversees Sunset Pools’ commercial division. He has successfully managed and constructed high-profile commercial projects including Firethorne and Falcon Ranch Homeowners Association pools, swim schools such as Big Blue Swim School in Jordan Ranch and SafeSplash Swim School in Cypress, Texas, as well as various apartment community pools throughout the region. Adam continues to grow this division with the same attention to detail and high standards that define every Sunset Pools project.
Whether building a new pool, renovating an existing space, or creating a complete backyard retreat, Adam approaches every project with precision, creativity, and a problem-solver’s mindset.
As a proud father of five and grandfather of one, Adam believes in creating outdoor spaces that bring families together and leave lasting impressions. When he’s not overseeing projects, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying active in the community. His leadership, industry certifications, and award-winning designs continue to position Sunset Pools as a leading name in both residential and commercial pool construction.
